Grad Typography.
This was an information visualization exercise that challenged us to deal with lots of information. We were asked to document every detail we could of ~60 minutes of our lives; we could do anything we wanted in those minutes. I chose to record the process of getting my kids ready for bed -- I was cleaning up from dinner, getting the kids a bath and reading them stories and a drink of milk before putting them to bed.
What made this project interesting, however, was the challenge of visualizing the fact that I was getting the kids ready for bed, and taking a daily snapshot of them, as well as recounting all the thoughts that were meandering through my mind during this time.
This poster is meant to be seen in its entirety (see link below for full size), the slice above is only a sneek preview. This project really allowed me to focus on typographic details; deciding the perfect placement of the poster title, figuring out the right size for the words and reprensentations of the rooms and the feelings in the background; attention to all the details were what made this project successful for me.
