Because family structures are diverse, we needed to narrow down our target users to be able to make a meaningful design. Initial Target Users: Families with TeensWe initially wanted to focus on families with teens, however partway through our research we realized that teenagers don't want to spend time with their parents as much, nor are their activities monitored as closely by parents. Hence we decided to shift our focus to families with young children, where there was more possibilities for activity together. Final Target Users: Families with Young ChildrenParents with young children spend more time choosing activities for them, as well as engaging in physical activities together. Because of this, we felt that there would be more opportunities to design for this target group.
