Team
As members of a multi-disciplinary team, each of us brings a unique skill set and perspective to this project. Despite our different backgrounds, we share a common interest in human-computer interaction and a deep desire to collaborate and learn.
Allison White
Allison graduated from Lehigh University in 2009 with a dual degree in Psychology and Cognitive Science. My desire to find a practical use for all that cool stuff I had learned led me to the MHCI program. Still, I would jump at the chance to spend all my time reading if someone would only pay me for it.
Chan Hong
Chan Hong is a student in the Human-Computer Interaction master's program, and graduated from the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign with a BS in Computer Engineering.
Michael Lin
Michael Lin received his undergraduate degree from UC Irvine in Information and Computer Science. His passion for Human-Computer Interaction is to investigate and understand consumer's use in technology that goes beyond system usability to develop a solution that incorporates culture identity and value.
Patrick Purdy
Before studying HCI at Carnegie Mellon, Patrick earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Technology and Culture from Washington State University, where he focused on usability, design, user evaluation and analysis. Patrick is interested in content-management, mobile computing, electronic games, and design..
Anne Connell
Anne Connell is a HCI Masters graduate from Carnegie Mellon University. She holds a BS in Information Systems with a concentration in Communication DesigN, and is now a graduate of the MHCI program, as well as a full-time employee of the Software Engineering Institute. There, she works as an Interaction Designer provid ing design and client support to the CERT Virtual Training Environment Team. She taught two courses in Web Design for the School of Design. Her current research interests include interaction technologies for the web, social web networks, as well as physical and digital environments that support collaboration.
